A beautiful trip up to Crescent Lake on the Skidoo Expedition with my wife Ellie. This machine has been a great addition and allows taking my family into rugged terrain with deep snow.

I truly wish there were more days like this! It’s amazing to stretch the legs of my 2017 Polaris 800 163” RMK. Several of us played hooky from work and hit the narrow weather window just right.
Cooper Lake is a recent discovery for our little family and has quickly become one of the places we crave to see each summer. In 2020 we got the news that Ellie had kidney cancer and as we were lining up our trip down to Seattle for surgery we decided to KEEP LIVING. It ended up being a special summer and we would encourage everyone facing a crisis, if at all possible, to get out and enjoy the things you love. Her surgery was a big success and we are happily cancer free.
This is our favorite spot to take our plans built 2007 Glen-L Flying Saucer. Hidden Lake has clear water and good shelter for this little boat. We love visiting the many small islands and enjoying a day out on the water. More info on this build can be found here.
Crown Point Mine just outside of Moose Pass, AK is one of the best ATV rides you will find anywhere. We try to make it up this trail several times each year and it never disappoints. This was a spring ride and we found the snow blocking the trail just above treeline.
Maiden flight of my Hangar 9 Valiant in 2017. This flight marked a return to building/flying RC after many years away from the hobby. I highly recommend getting into RC if it’s ever sparked your interest. It’s a great way to learn and develop a broad range of skills no matter your age.
Pioneering an ice road across the Wainwright Inlet to mine/haul gravel for the community of Wainwright. This is one of my favorite jobs and the changing conditions in the arctic always present new challenges.
